FedEx Flight Approval Process for Sensos Smart Label

Customer Approval Requirement

Before shipping via FedEx using the Sensos Smart Label, each customer must complete a specific approval process. This process involves reviewing and agreeing to the FedEx Terms of Use as outlined in the FedEx Service Guide.

Once the customer has reviewed and approved these terms, Sensos Customer Success must send this approval to FedEx to obtain a unique approval for that specific customer. This is a paperwork-based process and is separate from technical device approvals.

FedEx Shipping Guidelines Compliance

Customers using Sensos Smart Label must adhere to the following FedEx shipping policies and guidelines:

  1. FedEx Service Guide
    • Customers must follow the current FedEx Service Guide, specifically the guidelines on “Cargo monitoring, cargo tracking, and data logging devices” (Pages 147 & 166).
    • View the FedEx Service Guide (2025 Edition)
  2. FedEx Dangerous Goods and Hazardous Materials Guidelines

FedEx-Operated Aircraft Approval Only

The device approval listed above only applies to FedEx-owned and or operated aircraft. FedEx does not coordinate any device approvals with non-FedEx-owned and/or operated airlines. FedEx occasionally utilizes commercial passenger and/or cargo airlines to provide the best service available to customers, and your packages may move via one of those partners. Customers should consult their FedEx Sales Manager to assure their device-enabled shipment does not experience any delays if it moves on a partner airline.

Approval in Customer Quote

To streamline the approval process, Sensos will include the FedEx Terms of Use acknowledgment as part of the customer quote. This ensures that customers sign all required approvals upfront, avoiding delays in using the Sensos Smart Label Gen2 with FedEx.
