Applying the Sensos Label
Placement
The Sensos Label must be applied to a flat surface. Avoid applying it to any bent or curved areas of the parcel.
Open Indication Tab (Optional)
The label has a body and an open indication tab. If you don't need to track if the parcel has been opened, simply apply the label flat on any surface.
Using the Open Indication Tab
-
Apply the main body of the label to the top of the parcel.
-
The open indication tab is armed once it bends past a 45-degree angle.
-
When the tab crosses a 45-degree angle again on its way back (i.e., returning to a flat position), the label detects the parcel has been opened and triggers an alert.
Important Notes
-
For the open indication tab to function properly, it must be perpendicular (straight up and down) to the ground at all times.
-
Open indication is not a one-time alert. It can be triggered and retriggered multiple times if the parcel is opened and closed during its journey. For example, customs inspections or customer actions might trigger alerts.
-
All open/close events are logged by the label and transmitted to the Sensos cloud platform (Sync). You can view these details within the Sync interface.
-
Important: The open/close flap on the Label is an integral part of the tamper detection system. Cutting or damaging the flap will disable the Label's ability to detect opening and closing events, and may cause the Label to stop functioning altogether. Please handle the Label with care during application and throughout the shipment process to ensure proper functionality.
Monitoring
Use Sensos platform or your preferred tracking application to monitor your shipment.
Disposal
Remove the Sensos label from the package and dispose according to local regulations.
